I love everything about making art, from the process to the product. To transform raw materials into an image that communicates meaning and beauty is an ability that amazes me. It requires skill and finesse, flexibility and perseverance. Making Art is not easy but I choose to do it because it is the thing I most love to do.

As long as I can remember, I have always made art. Early influences were comics, cartoons and animations. I still have a place in my heart for these mediums and I often see their influence on my work. Impressionism and Surrealism have also influenced me in the way I use color and juxtaposition. While not always directly present, their subtle influence is there.

Art is, for me, a very personal thing. It involves my deepest thinking, my very sincerest beliefs about the world and the creation of it. It is at once a spiritual event, a psychological journey and a response to the world around me. Creating it, I put myself into it. Showing it to another, I put my self on display. My art is a part of me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
